MT5 is a strong candidate where multi-asset exchange workflows and the established MQL5 automation ecosystem are primary requirements. Neither choice should be made from terminal features alone.

Plan the data move and the operating change together
Moving from MetaTrader 5 to ScaleTrade involves more than importing account records. The assessment must cover identities, balances, open positions, pending orders, trade history, symbols, groups, permissions, liquidity, reporting and connected systems.

No automatic compatibility should be assumed. MT5 Expert Advisors target MQL5, while ScaleTrade provides its own scripting and integration interfaces. Source code and dependencies must be assessed before estimating a port.

A migration can be assessed when the broker has sufficient source-data access. Accounts, balances, positions, orders, history, symbols, groups, integrations and MQL5 applications require explicit mapping and validation.
